Explanation of our Language Tutoring Courses:

Each WordWide Language Tutoring Center group has never more than nine students to each well-educated, native-speaking instructor at a great price.

We teach by conversational immersion training, which means you start speaking your new language from the moment you enter our classrooms.  Our beginner groups have historically continued to become Beginner Plus and then Intermediates, so if you have some ability but not much, you can join an ongoing class.  Our placement tests are free.

We usually consider someone with two years high school or college courses a total beginner for our immersion environment.

We are serious about teaching you to converse, read, write and listen.

Books are usually just $29.99 each, and will last you for about 380 hours of in-class instruction.  Our tutors use the books as a guide, so that our students can use the books for self study and avoid repeating material in blended classes.

Our rules are very simple:  Sign up for 20 hours and get our discounted rates.  You pay only five weeks at a time.  Each time you sign up for another five weeks, you are able to tell our office if there are any weeks which you cannot be here, and we move that week, so you don't have to pay for lessons you haven't scheduled.  Once you sign up, we hire the tutors.  That's how WordWide gets great tutors for fantastic prices.

Prices:

Sponge Teams meet a minimum of twice a week for two hours each:  $15.50 per hour, 10-week minimum.

Dive-Ins meet once a week for two hours each: $17.50 per hour, 10-week minimum.

Private Plunge:  Make your own schedule.  Two-hour class session minimum.  $45 per hour for less than 20 hours or $35 per hour when you sign up for 20 hours or more and complete them within 10 weeks.  Private students are able to move their lessons without charge by giving our office 42-hour notice.  Have your tutor come to your home for a small travel fee.

Once simple rule:  Students are never able to talk about their schedule with your tutors.  Why?  We have been doing this a long time.  Talking about your class schedule with your tutor does two very bad things; first, it messes up the Administration's ability to add students to the class at times we are anticipating.  For instance, when you have told the Admin you will be gone, we might add a person for the tutor to bring up to your level; second, it is a waste of your time to talk to your tutor about your schedule instead of learning your target language.

We keep good tutors working for WordWide at low prices by being consistent with our schedule and paying them for lessons if students don't arrive.  Each tutor gets paid more by the number of students in their classrooms.  They don't have to turn on the lights, make the coffee or handle anyone's money -- so each of our fine tutors can concentrate on tutoring you.

We have a consistent goal to allow our tutors to reach their personal goals and to allow our students to learn to speak across borders; therefore, we reserve the substitute tutors when necessary.

We teach languages for world peace.  Join us.
